Members and groups, the way you run them

The Tuesday beginners, the competitors, the weekday-morning adults: a member can belong to several groups, with their own belt in each.

Members and groups, the way you run them

The app in use, recorded.

A group is just that: the Tuesday beginners’ session, the competitors, the weekday-morning adults. A group has a timetable — which days, from when to when — a fee rule and a seat cap. A member can belong to several groups, and you handle their attendance and their level separately in each one.

The member list belongs to the club

The member list belongs to the club, not to a coach’s phone or squared notebook: when someone takes over a group, nobody has to be written down again. A member’s card holds their e-mail, date of birth, weight, photo — and their belt in every group. Under Settings you choose which fields the form asks for and the list shows, and add the club’s own, a licence number for instance.

One filter for every list

The members, the fees, the entries and the weigh-in share one filter: active members only, a group, a belt, a sex, and whatever the page adds — the overdue on Fees, the members awaiting consent on Members. The count beside the button says how many are left.

A new member gets the club’s privacy notice by e-mail, with one link to accept it. Until they do, their card says they are awaiting consent, and the date they gave it is on their profile — the club does not have to keep signed paper forms to prove it.

When someone leaves

An inactive member comes off the list but does not take their history with them: their past visits and payments stay in the reports. Only deleting hands the seat back, and that is deliberate.
